Spring prelaunch prjects?
My wife really cracks the whip to get projects done around the house before she loses me to the boat until late fall. (She, of course exaggerates!) Curious to know what projects you all have planned to get your boats ready for spring. Besides the basics like bottom paint and wax, I need to install a new helm seat, fix some fiberglass on the transom door, recable the outriggers and repaint the cockpit nonskid.

My list is pretty large:
1. Prop removed and is being checked out
2. Find a better way to mount the sea strainer, it fell off last year.
3. Install a new head and all piping.
4. Install new horns, original one is very wimpy.
5. Install a flag pole mount.
6. Install a new glow plug timer and wiring.
7. Scrape bottom completly, barrier coat and paint.
8. New raw water impeller.
9. New zincs, check bonding wires, new filters.
10. Launch and enjoy!

no new projects..
i'm planning to just compound and wax the fiberlass, touch up the gelcoat and replace old caulking, redo the teak around the cabin door and redo the soundproffing. mundane simple stuff, but it keeps the resale value up.

Replace water heater & related plumbing: Done
Replace windlass: Old one removed
Replace stereo & speakers in fwd cabin
Replace stereo in aft cabin
Fix that @#$#%@$!@!@$ bow thruster.
Repack rudder stuffing box: Done
Flush cooling system: Done
Pull ground plate & check for water in core
Shorten base for (new last year) Arrigoni bolster helm seat.
Fix all that other stuff that I find as I fix the stuff that I know about.
Do the stuff that non boaters think is all we have to do i.e. scrape the bottom plus do the cleaning that they don't think about which is just normal maintenance.

list keeps growing
I like your line about fixing all the stuff you find while fixing stuff you know about! While working on Legacy on Thursday I made a second list! 1. paint fridge trim, polish aluminum in tuna tower and replace the steroe. It never ends!

Lots of teak refinishing already done on doors and hatches (anything I can haul home and work on in the basement).
Tranny already removed, rebuilt, reinstalled.
Still to come..new thru hulls and seacocks, one new toilet, a little re-plumbing, mods to the swim platform, amd the biggie...a new autopilot...brand still tbd.
And that's the shortlist.
