Urgently need A25 Stuffing Box

Post by MikeF »

Does anyone perhaps have an original A25 30mm stuffing box as shown here, for sale?
I am specifically looking for this bronze type, not the more modern all-rubber version.
I thought that this one was still serviceable, but notice that there are small cracks on the inside liner.
Many thanks - I'll soon be running out of boating season...

Have you tried Albin Motor in Sweden yet? They have a lot of parts for the older Albins.

I did a quick poke around and didn't see it, but I'd send them a note with your picture of the stuffing box. They may be able to track it down for you.

Good luck!

Thanks Doug, yes, I have been in touch and sent them a pic. If the whole part can not be obtained, perhaps replacement O-Rings/seals are still available...

I'm assuming you've looked for a manufacturer's name on it. Have you looked at sourcing a 30mm stuffing box / parts through Vetus?

Or an upgrade:

That's good information Doug. Thanks. I'll post once it's all worked out.
