Skeg to Rudder Post Bracket

We're relatively new members of the Albin Owner's Group (ages 70 and 82) and are in need of a replacement for the bracket that connects the bottom of the rudder post to the skeg of our 28' TE. Evidently ours came off during a soft grounding incident when we brought the boat around from St Petersburg to Jacksonville, FL. From the diagram in the attached M/S Word file, as well as a visual inspection of the hull, it looks like a replacement should be relatively easy to fabricate here locally. Any help / suggestion you can give will be appreciated.

Buck Algonquin provided the rudder, not sure about the skeg and "SHOE" with cutlass bearing. Buck's number is 410-643-7145. the SHOE is not in their catalog though the rudder is standard and is in their catalog. You're pretty lucky that the rudder didn't drop! Someone didn't tighten those four bolts.
