28TE Gatsby aft mechanicals access
I'm shopping for a 28TE and close to a deal but wonder how difficult that aft bench seat makes getting to the rudder post and whatever else is below back there. The standard TE has several removable deck sections but the Gatsby seat would seem to complicate access.

Re: 28TE Gatsby aft mechanicals access
It can be a challenge to work upside down. My Racor is located low on the port side. I put a blanket on the fuel tank and get as low as possible to drain. Trim tab reservoir requires a mirror to check level. I recently had a new auto pilot installed and had no complaining from the shop about access.. Access is challenging but the seat is a favorite with guests and great lounging pad.
