Happy Memorial Day!!

Post by DougSea »

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend.

I'm with my daughter at our Club opening, where a good friend's son, a Lt, jg, in the Navy did a flyover. Really awesome.

And for those who have served, or are serving, and their families - Thank you.

Edit - photos from the planes.

Sprite Island is in the center just off the main land mass

The planes are just coming around Pecks Ledge Light

Coming around from the North side to pass the flagpole. The anthem had just been played and the canon fired.

3 AOG pals and families went to Montauk Yacht Club this weekend. We had ALL types of weather! Per the dockmaster, 60 boats were reserved to come in, less than 10 showed.

HomeInstead (near), Doghouse (center) and TOY-RIFIC (far)

And another family on a 28 Sea-Ray Sundancer came along as well.

A nice start to the 2013 season and a hint (and no more than a hint!) of summer was enjoyed... A good time was had by all.

TOY-RIFIC trip data:

60 gallons
114 nautical miles
8.8 engine hours

Translates to:

6.8 gallons per hour
1.9 nautical miles per gallon

Nice!
