Wooden Anchor light Mast for A25 Needed
Hi All,
I'm in need of the original or reproduction wood mast for my A25 deLuxe. Anyone have one to sell or donate? If not, does anyone have a source for a replacement?
(I'm referring to the mast on top of the cabin roof with the anchor light on top)

If you could find a few good pictures or drawing I would think this would be easy to fabricate out of teak or mahogany.
Have you tried searching for wooden boat restorers? They'd be a group likely to be sourcing/making wood masts.

Robdog,
Long ago when I started researching Albin 25's, I found a web site with 3 jpg files of the owner's hand-drawn sketch of the wooden mast he made from a friend's boat. Did not book mark the site, but did save the 3 files. If you want them let me know how to get them to you.

Just found where the jpg of the wooden mast drawing came from - the Yahoo Albin Cruiser's group photo section.

Desertboater, can you post them here? Or a link. I'm thinking A25 owners will thank you!Desertboater wrote:Just found where the jpg of the wooden mast drawing came from - the Yahoo Albin Cruiser's group photo section.

If someone can explain how to attach the files, I'd be glad to.

We will, of course, be expecting pictures of the process and the end result!!
And thanks DesertBoater and Brian for the lead on the drawings and posting them!
DesertBoater - there's a set of instructions on uploading photos in the pictures section. Same process for .PDFs
If you have any questions about the process please feel free to PM me.

The end result is a little different though. JPG's will be displayed in the body of your post. Other files, like PDF's, will not. They are clicked on for downloading to your PC and viewing locally. But either way the info gets to the end user.DougSea wrote:....DesertBoater - there's a set of instructions on uploading photos in the pictures section. Same process for .PDFs...

I just replaced mine with a custom fabricated mast to accommodate a radar dome. Transferred the light and horn to the new mast. The old one is yours if you still want it. Your cost? Just shipping. Send me a UPS Label or give me a call.

The original white light hood was inverted like one I saw on the Swedish Albin website posted by a fellow named Lars Larson. I believe it serves to reduce glare on the windshield at night.
