Any insight on trailering 28' tournament Express??

New to the Albin world.. Looking for some advice from a seasoned Albin owner. I have been told that we will need a goose neck trailer to transport a 28' T Ex, being quite a hefty boat... Has anyone trailered these and can give me some advice?

Still searching for a trailer that will work around the Oxnard Cali area...

I just took delivery of a 2006 28TE but don't expect to trailer it. Had it hauled last week and she weighed in with only 1/4 fuel around 12,000 lbs. I am questioning if the misread this but I don't expect they could be too far off. So I can see that a gooseneck would be highly desirable. You will need to have a big truck!

I just had my 28te trailered from Huntington Beach Ca to San Francisco Ca, and it worked out very well. My transporter had a 50ft trailer and he knew what he was doing. You will need to have a trailer that can have the boat high enough so the prop and skeg do not hit the ground.

If you PM me I will give you the contact of the company and owner that did the job. He was very very good and a pro. Price was right as well. He ships all over the US and even to other countries.

I tow mine with a standard Dodge Cummins 2500. No problems with a standard class 5 hitch. Trailer was for a 30 foot Chris Craft that we modified in a weekend, not too hard. Pacific Trailers down in your neck of the woods makes a great trailer for an Albin. Pricey but high quality.
