Searching for Gel Coat Color?

Post by kmary »

In the midst of remodeling my helm, and I have a bundle of old holes to touch up. Curious if anyone has any words of wisdom on what Gel Coat type and color would have been used in my 1999 Albin 28TE convertible?

There are a few different whites and creams out there on the 28TE's. Oyster White, Mexican Sand... If you're topside white is the same as mine the attached patch paste is VERY close. http://www.spectrumcolor.com/ProductDes ... 25K&key=it

Also, consider laying a black non-skid mat (drawer liner) on the top of the dash, it will:

1) keep stuff from sliding around
2) eliminate sun glare off the white dash top
3) cover up your holes

A huge thanks for the suggestion. Ordered and looking forward to seeing how close a match it is!

Rather than the mat, which is a great idea, my intent is to mount an organizer on the space. My Simrad unit has the wifi module so the I designed the organizer to prop up an ipad as a second display if needed.

I will try an post a few more pics when it is all said and done.
