Hello...I'm new to the list and looking forward to talking to other Albin owners. We own a 28 T/E Flush Deck, powered by a Volvo D6-310. Received it in November of 2005 and thoroughly enjoy it, having put 225 hours on it so far. We live in San Diego, and there are about 3 or 4 others in the area. Todd Sickenger, the local Albin rep, put me on to the site.
I've enjoyed reading the threads, especially the maintenence issues. I've purchased a zinc for the Vetus bow thruster, and after reading the info on the shear pins, I think I'll go out and get a few. Hadn't realized they could be changed in the water. At any rate, I look forward to visiting the site. By the way, I have no qualms about using the bow thruster any time I feel the need. I've even used it out in the open ocean while horsing a yellowtail out of a kelp paddie.

Hey Mike,
Welcome to the board. You bring up an excellent point about the thruster. I to have used it while fishing - to reposition when I am close to a bridge piling. I also have read in various fishing magazines the utility of thrusters when droping the hook on deep structure in a moderate current.
There's a good group of people here and soem of the info and tech tips are priceless.
Cheers.
