I have a 1995 28' TE and consider installing a transom door. Any counsel, blueprints, ideas, parts (you have for sale), cautions, experience you can offer? I attempted to contact Albin (new owners not same company) and didn't receive a reply. Thanks for any thoughts.

I am with you. I'm getting ready to purchase a 95 28TE and want to add a Transom Door but am afraid its too involved and risky. I will follow your post and hopefully we'll get some ideas.

This is on our long-term wish list. Our fiberglass guy doesn't seem to think it's much of a challenge, but we haven't discussed in depth. It's not something we'd tackle on our own.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm looking at installing one, but don't think I'll be able to get to it this season. If you are able to do it soon, I would love to hear about it. Best of luck!

Finally found a capable person to put in a door -- after doing a ton of work! Sooooooo, we're going to do it in September while the wind blows in FL. Cost estimates prior to this estimate? 5 - 7K. I have an estimate for 1800 now. I'll photo the work and keep everyone apprised.
