It's actually a lot easier than it looks like it would be.

I removed and replaced the windows, fixed all the leaks, and there were a lot of them (thread elsewhere). Removed the rotten paneling. It just slides into the wood piece in the corners, a couple of screws along the top, the window frames hold the center tight to the cabin side and the wood trim holds it at the bottom. I didn't even glue it in place

I made butcher paper templates, and used Luan from Home Depot ($10 each). I had to learn the skills as I went. The last one was a lot easier than the first. Prepare to make several until you get the one you want.

Instead of wrestling with a 4x8 sheet of Formica on the dock I found a cabinet shop that glued it to the Luan after I cut it to fit. Luan is mahogany, and if you pick it carefully and varnish it, it can look fine behind the bunks, and maybe even the cabin sides, but the grain runs the wrong direction and it's dark. The formica brightens the place up

Did the forward cabin too. There was a mold issue up there because of the old leaking deck, which I wasn't aware of until I started tearing it out.
