Alrighty, I'm going to go ahead and say bare with me everyone. Just purchased my new (to me) boat and working on fixing her up and will probably have a ton of questions! I appreciate any and all advice!
Went to the boat today and took some photos of the window inside the helm. All around the window the paint is flaking off and its driving me crazy. I talked to a guy who's working on my boat right now fixing some other issues I have and he told me the best fix would be to pull the frame out and glass to have it powder coated. I think its a great plan, but have a question.
Here is the paint peeling....
Would removing the frame be as simple as unscrewing the screws you see in Picture 2?
These screws....
The whole powder coating is great and I will eventually due it, but dont think I'll have the funding right away, so what would you recommend for a temporary fix? Any Ideas? Sorry for my ignorance, just want to make sure I do things right
Thank You
Brandon

Re: 28ft TE Window issue
About four or five years ago I had similar, but smaller, areas both on the outside forward and on the inside. I sanded the areas and used a white spray enamel from Rustoleum. Seems to be holding up fine.

Re: 28ft TE Window issue
Have you given the interior window frames a good look as far as removing them? Access denied. This has been discussed here from time to time.
