Sometimes I just don't understand women Just last evening my wife couldn't understand why the aftercooler was in our oven. As the outside temerature was in the twenties, and the garage is not heated, it was obvious to the casual observer, that in order to get a good paint "set" the metal had to be prewarmed to a toasty 125 before spraying. I figured as long as it was off, and not looking to spiffy, I may as well clean it up before reinstalling. After leaving it under a 500 watt halogen overnite, it seemed to take the paint real well. Now if I can just sneek in the valve cover when she goes to work, I think the turbo will fit in the dryer

You had me laughing right there. There is nothing like the smell of fresh aftercooler in the oven.AlMar wrote:Sometimes I just don't understand women AlMar

Can't claim to have used the oven for paint setting (may have to try that) but I'll bet the look your wife gave you was very much like the one I got when she opened the dishwasher and found engine parts there! (Pot scrubber cycle does a great job!)
