Just last evening my wife couldn't understand why the aftercooler was in our oven. As the outside temerature was in the twenties, and the garage is not heated, it was obvious to the casual observer, that in order to get a good paint "set" the metal had to be prewarmed to a toasty 125 before spraying. I figured as long as it was off, and not looking to spiffy, I may as well clean it up before reinstalling. After leaving it under a 500 watt halogen overnite, it seemed to take the paint real well. Now if I can just sneek in the valve cover when she goes to work, I think the turbo will fit in the dryer
