Painting, plumbing and running gear
Hi everybody. Sorry I've been away from the site for a while but just to let you know that I am starting three big new projects on my 36 classic. They are re-plumbing both copper tubes and pipes, a full paint job (I'm running a live webcam for this whole job) and also installing new running gear. I'll keep you all posted. Regards Sebastian

Looking forward to the webcam too! Here's an article on replacing plumbing with PEX -- much cheaper and easier than copper: http://trawler-beach-house.blogspot.com ... ement.html.

What specifically are you replaceing? Shaft? Coupling? Cutlass bearing? Prop? Tranny? Damper plate?

Hi, replacements are shaft removal, checking and straightening, deep sea seals, coupling, cutless bearings, rudder assembly, props and stern fittings. Regards S.

I'll be interested to know the condition of your shaft tube.
