I have a 1972 Albin 25, without a trailer, which I purchased a year ago or so. Recently, however, I have determined that it would make a few logistics easier if I were to acquire one to store her out of the water. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to find a new or used double-axel trailer that would be appropriate for an Albin 25? And what I would need to do with an existing trailer to make it useable for the keel etc of the Albin?
Thanks very much for any advice.

I got this draw from yahoo albin group. I'm sorry, I can't remember the name of the Albin owners who made the draw. I hope it will help you.

I had a TUFF Trailer made for my Albin 25 and it's great. Go to this website to see pictures of it in action.

Re: aftermarket trailer for A25?
My Albin-25 rides on a MagicTrail trailer the previous owner bought. He only had the boat for 5 years, so it is a fairly new trailer. I don't know who set the trailer up to support the hull, but they did a good job. (Glad I didn't have to do it) I've messed around with a few trailers for smaller boats and it appears to me that almost any trailer with a sufficiently strong frame could be adapted to support an Albin. However, having a overhead lift would make everything a lot more managable when it comes to getting all of the support points adjusted properly.
My trailer has a slight "V" in the cross members so that the boat's keel may ride closer to the ground than would be the case with straight laterals. Even so, my Albin-25's deck is right at 6-ft above the ground, making a 6' step ladder mandatory for access when parked on the hard.

I'm in the same boat as the OP.
I found a Shorelander on Kijiji. Does anyone know if this might fit?I've added a link to the ad as well.

Actually, strange image loading protocol here, cannot figure it out. So you can find the schematic at the ad site,

I just had a trailer Custom build for the Albin 25 but it did not fit!! All the cross beams need to the same height as the axles , then adjust the roller accordingly .28" above the back cross member and less going forward . I would go to a boat trailer pro to adjust . Jim
Lower that the axle on the back cross beam

Re: aftermarket trailer for A25?
My PO bought our boat from an estate sale in Ontario, Canada. That owner, deceased in 2001, had gone down to St. Pete, FL and purchased a new custom made aluminum trailer by Performance Trailers from a dealership named Tropic Trailers in 1999. Performance Trailers has since gone out of business, but the dealer is still around. By the time I came along the VIN number had worn off the flimsy manufacture's VIN label sticker, and I had the Dickens of a time getting a clear title from Arizona MVD after the inspecting officer said that by rights the trailer could be impounded as stolen regardless of supporting paperwork including valid Idaho registration. But it is a cool trailer with galvanized 15" wheel rims and disk brakes on both axles. The boat rests on bunks, not rollers. There was a slight problem with some cracked welds on the forward most cross member, but a $700 weld job got that fixed, plus replacing the 10 year old tires with new ones. The PO agreed to rebate $500 off the purchase price because of the bad welds, but with a new set of tires right off the bat I was over $800 out of pocket on the trailer alone.
I didn't care much for the length of the bowsprit and the fuel cans hanging over bow, so I've since chopped 16" off, removed the fuel cans, and moved the anchor roller back as far as I could. With a 22 lb Bruce anchor and 26 ft of heavy chain this has enough holding power for a 35 footer. Would have gotten rid of the bowsprit altogether except the genius who installed it used 5200 adhesive to glue it to the deck and that sucker's not going anywhere. It does have a sailboat winch to help pull the anchor up, and the stock bow cleat has been replaced with a samson post.
