Hi,
I'm in the process of purchasing a 2003 ALbin 28 with an engine box. I have been checking out the forums for the past 6 weeks and found them very helpful. The boat will be surveyed in the next week and we hope to take possession by months end. Thanks for having a great library to educate potential owners, it was a great resource in my decision process.
With regards,
Bernie N.

I bought TOY-RIFIC in 2007 in Wickford, RI. Great little town. She was kept on a mooring at the Pleasant Street Wharf.

I have also been back to Wickford to visit RicM. Funny, RicM had an '03 engine box kept in Wickford by the kayak place behind town. Now he's got a big fat yacht over at the ShipYard!

An early to mid 2000's engine box model is a mighty fine choice..

Welcome and congratulations on your purchase! It is a terrific boat. I have a '98 with an '03 Yanmar. We really prefer the engine box. It's our picnic table and seat and sunning place and bait station. The higher freeboard is also comforting when fishing or when children are on board. Either way, it's a great boat. Think of how many others have copied the concept. Before the Albin 28, everyone got a fishing boat with a gangway (ladder) aloft to the upper level. Now, we have the one level boat which boomers appreciate for not having to climb up and down. Also, the guests are nearby and not down on the lower level. Enjoy it. It's later than you think.

Hello neighbor and welcome.

You'll see Aque'ne, a blue hulled 28 FD, drifting the north end of Jamestown at sunset, fishing all around the bay, or moored about a mile north of the Newport Bridge.

We love our 28 all season long. But as the cooler air arrives we love the protection she affords while still allowing us to be outdoors. Last year we stayed in the water late into December and splashed in early April this year. These are great boats for the waters in this area.

Hope you enjoy yours as much and looking forward to seeing another Albin on the water.
