Fresh water pump

Post by sweetwater »

Howdy folks, last night my fresh water pump died on me. I have it narrowed down to a intermittently faulty pressure switch. New pump at west marine is$220. Anyone know if the switch is available separately? I took it apart and it is better, but still not steady. Kind of need new one fast... Thoughts? Just bite the bullet and buy the whole pump?

Depending on the model and your luck a replacement switch may be available. I know that Jabsco does sell replacement switches.

Good luck!

Get the variable flow pump. I have the sensor max vsd 5.0, its quiet and smooth.

you might visit your local RV dealer, they have jabasco pumps for less than half what you'll pay at West Marine , sometimes with the same part number

Well, all finished. Went out to Larry's lighthouse and got a new pump. Wish I thought of the RV place, would have saved a few bucks. Thanks everyone. I think it's the only thing on the boat that's easy to get to and replace!
