Unfortunately, the diesel mini-seminar will not be held. Seems the Marina/dealer is heavily involved in a charitable poker run that weekend. Hope everybody has a safe trip to Essex. See you there. Dave

Sorry to say that Sonny IV won't be able to make the trip. Currently looking at a major repair to the starboard engine. I'd make the trip at trawler speeds on the one engine but I have commitments that won't allow that.

I'm planning on coming by via car on Friday afternoon to at least see a few friends and say hello. Hope you all have a fantastic time!!

We are in Montauk at Star Island , watching the lightning. Nothing like predicted. We expect to be in about 12 tomorrow as well. Keep your eyes open on the Sound. Safe travels.

Unfortunatly we will not be attending. Kot'ij was suppose to have the hydrolic steering re-configured by Standish Boat Yard this week. Unfortunatly, Standish Boad Yard had an accident where Ken Hilton son in law, Kyle, that works for him was crushed by a boat falling off the stands and is in serious conditon at RI Hospital. Needless to say they did not work on Kot'ij this week. To risk going out in rough seas with one rudder is not prudent and for that reason we can not attend. We were really looking forward to meeting people this year!!! Hope to attend next year. Please keep Kyle in your prayers.

It was a good weekend in Essex, despite the weather. I appreciate all that Dave and Ann did to organize things and also the support of John Collins.
Highlander made it back to NJ safely, good ride we hit Long Island Sound about 800 and were at the Manasquan Inlet by 400pm. Good ride and favorable current kept us at about 16 - 17 knots.
Enjoyed being with everyone, real nice group of people! Look forward to next time,

Thanks to Dave and Ann for organizing a great rendezvous! We had a great time and it goes to show that you always have a great time with great people regardless of the weather! We hope everyone had safe travels home. For those of you who went on to other ports of call....may the sun be with you. The banner has been passed, and we are looking forward to planning next year's event. We will keep you posted toward the end of the year. Doug-you just HAVE to make it next year.....by boat that is .
