location oil sender for oil gauge
On my yanmar 315 the oil pressure seems low to me it reads 35 lbs at 3200 rpm on a beede gauge does anyone know where the oil sender is located on the motor and what the part # is for the sender ?

Re: location oil sender for oil gauge
The oil sender is located on the threaded manifold block just behind the starter. It is the one closest to the starter. It is likely pointing down on a 90deg fitting and has a single wire, yellow with a black tracer. Not sure on the sender the Beede gauge requires. The port is 1/8" british pipe thread. The senders normally come 1/8"-27 npt. You can go with npt to bpt thread adapters or run a tap through it with a glob of grease to catch any filings. What is the gauge range, 0 to ? I agree oil psi is low. Make sure both of your dipsticks are seated.
