Hi Folks,
my TE exhibits a leak when heading to weather - where water builds up in the sliding window tracks then egresses into the wheelhouse (slowly). I presume that the gaskets/slides on the window are spent - anyone ever replaced these items? Or is there some other way to resolve this (or just live with it)?

check the drains along the bottom edge of the window tracks. They are meant to channel water out of the tracks but can become clogged with gunk. I used a paperclip to clear them and they now seem to drain properly.

Re: Port/Starbord sliding windows - Wheelhouse
When looking at the picture you will notice that the slot towards the stern is not at the furthest point of the track. While running the water sits in this area and begins to weep in. Mine has done it since new. I have seen here I think that someone drilled an additional hole or slot here to stop the water from building up. I have not done this for fear that a new hole would start the window finish to start pealing. As Jack said, check to make sure the slots are clear, this may help some, but poor placement of these slots is really the issue.

Is that a 2000 or a 2002? A 2000 had glued on plastic pieces, 2002 should have an integrated handle as in the pic posted above by Jack

Here is an inside shot of my '02 showing the handle/lock. It is integrated on the vertical halfway up on the rear slider and it clicks into the forward sliding window to lock.
