Bilge area
I'm cleaning the bilge on new to me 1982 36' DC. Does the bilge area under the steps in the V-berth connect to the area in front of the engine or are they 2 seperate areas? I can't see what it looks like under the holding tank and shower sump. Any suggestions on how to clean that area?

Re: Bilge area
Hi there I have just purchased the exact same boat - can you tell me what you've used to clean your bilge and what success you've had and how you removed the waste safely?
thanks

Meridian: In my 36 the bilge area you are asking about is all one.

Re: Bilge area
Hi, on our 43' DC, it's connected. I had a blockage under the shower sump which prevented the bilge water to get to the pump. Good luck
