Just arrived home - 1994 Albin 28TE

Post by Bluewater »

Hi All,
We've been looking at 28s for a couple of months and purchased "Latis" (Celtic Goddess of Water (and Ale)) last Thursday, June 7th, in Fort Lauderdale. I then left the next morning to singlehand her from the East to West coast to our home in Burnt Store Marina, Punta Gorda. Arrived early yesterday afternoon in good shape. She has a Peninsula 400TA diesel with 2,150 hours - which ran very well all the way. Now I have to spend some time giving the boat lots of TLC - she's solid and sound but needs some care and attention.
We really found the AOG site to be helpful and informative during the lead up to the decision and purchase and we'll now become supporting members.
We look forward to using and looking after "Latis" and to being real members of the AOG.

A Celtic Goddess and "The Beast" all in one! Very nice! (BTW - It's "Peninsular") Congratulations on the purchase and the successful maiden voyage! You'll get great info here from both present and past owners of similar vintage boats and engines.

I look forward to hearing more about your voyages and the good ship Latis.

Best,
Doug
