switch id at helm station
I am looking to replace the plastic ID plackerts behind the switches at the helm on my 28 TE does anyone know where I could get these switch signs ? mine are brittle and chipping by the screws that hold them on

I can try but any way it is the plastic behind the switches that reads horn trim tabs ect

I think Rob's looking for a picture because many of our helms are "unique". So you may well have something different from another 28.

I believe the words are back-lit when the switch is powered on? That complicates things as a simple black decal with white lettering would do away with the backlight feature... Before I ripped out my dash and switch panel I had the switch panel that was simply an aluminum plate with decals. Maybe others with that same panel you have will chime in with some experience on what works.

The panel in our 28, that looked similar to yours, had a manufacturer's sticker on the back. I thought they were in Rhode Island but I just can't recall their name. Have you taken a good look at the back side of the panel? Albin had a tendency to use different sources, which is probably why my 35 has panels from two completely different manufacturers.
