Although this is my first real post, I have been using the forum for the better part of the winter to help find the perfect Albin and then quickly make some upgrades successfully. A huge Thank You for an unbelievable resource, I could have never made such short work of it without ya!
I purchased a 98' 28 te convertible ! Absolutely could not be happier, looking forward to a summer of cruising the Maine coast aboard the "Kristin Mary".

Wow, nice! practically a sistership to Mr. Collin's "Afterglow"
Sure would be nice to open up the top on a warm summer day, but that would require a sawzall on my boat!!

Re: A new old convertible 28.
Welcome to AOG. Very nice boat. I love this quote.
That's me...younger-more-with-it.The hardtop version is a piece of New England tradition, a buttoned-down keep-a-lid-on-it stalwart, designed for the Greek Fisherman's-hat-pipe-smoking crowd.
The Convertible, on the other hand, is a wide open sportster. Although squarely within the realm of Albin's salty heritage, it projects a younger, more with-it image. It's a tanning machine, not to mention a cruise-equipped fishboat

Differences are subtle, but they are there. The starboard vent and stainless portlights is most noticeable.

kmary: Welcome and grads on the new boat. I see you post as old/new. It really looks brand new and the back drop makes it even better. Don't recall seeing another 28 Conv. other than John's. Really looks like a fine boat for where you are. Nice picture posting as well.
