Boarding ladder
Has anyone replaced the under transom boarding ladder with a ladder that folds and stows on the transom. We need to replace ours but the original with the strap is a pain to attach.

Re: Boarding ladder
Whichever way you go (we just cleaned ours up and made a new velcro strap) just make sure you can deploy it from the water if needed. You know, when that "It'll never happen" moment happens and you find your self on the wrong side of the hull, by yourself.

Re: Boarding ladder
W/D the tubes several times over the season, When stowing, turn the tops of both legs outward before clipping. You can relpace clip by buying an adjustable dog collar (has clips) at a local pet store. I think my ladder is made by Swingline, when one of the steps shifted I called them and the sent replacement SS clips for all steps at no charge. Good Luck

Re: Boarding ladder
You are right about the dog collar. The ones at the dollar stores are better than the original strap.
