Re: 1982 A36 Classic
Michael: Your posting has brought some strong emotion to this old Bear. When I bought the Blue Heron 2 years ago you were one of the key classic owners that answered my PM's and got me started in the right direction on my renovations. You were the one that said "Take pictures, take pictures" which resulted in my blog page.
My many, many thanks to you. I'll be thinking of you.

Roy,
Thank you very much!
I fully agree with the emotion aspect, we never ever figured that parting with her so soon would even be a consideration, it breaks my heart to be at this juncture.
Things have changed, kids have grown quicker than even we had given much thought to, and I am staring shoulder surgery in the face, as well as some other concerns. They tell me it's a full year of recovery after they operate.
The Lass like all the classics needs and deserves time and attention, and the outlook for us being able to provide that isn't good for the next several years. She is again in heated storage and we considered leaving her there for a few years, but that too comes with it's own problems.
We truly love her, more than any vessel that we've ever owned and she is well on the way to being renewed, but there is still plenty yet to do.
I just want her in the hands of someone that will continue her on that course. It by all means will be an adoption, and we hope to choose her new care givers wisely.
Thank you very much!

Re: 1982 A36 Classic Available
Having just purchased my 1980 36 DC, and beginning some of the work you have already accomplished, I can't help but think that "mothball and store" would be a strong option for such a fine boat!
I also want to thank you for your blog on her work-to-date...these images will help me with my work and I truely appreciate your sharing.
Best wishes to you!!

Thank you Captn Dwt,
This is nothing we planned on but in light of the circumstances I think its just best if we part with her and allow new owners to bring her to the next level. It truly breaks my heart but I think it's best.

Michael, we haven't talked and I have only been a AOG member for several months but I feel we're loosing a good friend. I have read more of your replies on more Albin topics than I cold imagine. Your insight in these areas has been extremely valuable to me as a new owner of a 1985 Albin 43. I know I speak for many when I say Thank You! Maybe you will still keep in touch and continue to share your knowledge of the Classic Albin. Who knows, maybe we will hear from the new owner of The Lass too.
Very best wishes and many thanks,
Paul & Sue
