Hello All from mikeydoit
I have been a halfway member...joined awhile ago but I've not posted. I am from Seattle and live near Shilshole Marina where I moorage a twenty foot shammy cuddy. Owned the shamrock for twenty two years. Not bad for 6'3 280 lbs(haha). A little joke to some of the Albin owner members. A great ride in the rough the shammy is(1980 boat). I joined cause I like the Albins...was in one and saw one about 20yrs ago cost about 85000 then;(maybe some of you can put a better time frame on that). Any way I no longer want to snoop but I think engine box and pull down curtain is a way I would like to go on a 28te. I can see trolling from the captains wheel and getting to my pole quicker. Engine Box...,like to make engine repair and maitenance easier for someone else. For now a dream maybe, but thanks for a terrific site to be a part of seems like alot of good fellas, alot of knowledge and know how. A great advantage to have so many big brothers. I've stayed up late checking out lots of nice boats but there is much much more here as well. Enjoy the day.

Hi mikeydoit,
'Tis better to be a halfway member than no member at all. Welcome to AOG. Albin and Shamrock were cousins for awhile.

Welcome to the discussion, there's a lot of knowledge to be had from the AOG. I time shared on 28TE's on the Chesapeake. Great. So, Mikey, are you going to do it? I did with a 36ET.
Happy hunting. Marko

Re: Hello All from mikeydoit
Welcome to active participation: You are from a great boating area. I hear good things about Neah Bay and want to get out there this season. The Shamrock is a fine boat. When I was moored in Brookings, Or last year there was a really nice cabin series. It was moored between two 28' Albin and in my mind held up well to those fine fishing boats. You will indeed enjoy an Albin when the time comes. Have you fished with the Shamrock out as far as Neal Bay?
Dave is trying to get a rendevous together this season in Aug. You snould put it on your liists of things to do with or without an Albin. Should be some boats of interests. We are still waiting to see how many Albin people express their interests.
