Hi Friends,
Here are pics of our voyage from Singapore to Phuket, organised by our marina, Raffles. We travelled through Port Dickson, Pangkor Island, Penang Island, Langkawi Island (Malaysia), Krabi, Phi Phi Don and finally Phuket island (Thailand), over 8 days at an average of 7-8 knots together with our sister boat Lady Olivia, a Grand Banks.
It's a journey we all will remember, and Genesis performed EXCELLENTLY in high seas as they are so well-known for (we went through a storm that lasted 12 hours from Penang to Langkawi), it's amazing how well it handled in those 5-7 ft swells and waves.
As the saying goes: "We need to put up with the storm to see the rainbow". Yes, we saw rainbows, mirror-calm seas and enjoyed amazingly-beautiful islands.
I guess this is what boating is all about. Please enjoy the pics and A Merry Christmas & Fantastic New Year to all of you there in the US, from Singapore!!

the last time I visited Phuket I was aboard a 440' long Adams class US Navy destroyer.. I'll bet it was fun in an Albin!

Your dream voyage description and photos brought back some memories for me too. In my case it was in a Canadian Navy St. Laurent class destroyer escort...a little smaller than a USN Adams class but a lot bigger than an A-28. We were on a round-the-world "showing the flag" cruise which was an unusual and welcome change from winter patrols on the east coast of Newfoundland! In your part of the world we visited Singapore, Port Swettenham, Penang and the Nicobars before proceeding on to Colombo. We were treated extremely well everywhere we went and the scenery was beautiful.

Wow!, you guys must have had enjoyed your voyages too. Phuket may be less commercialised and even more beautiful at that time.
Very glad the photos brought back good memories. Hopefully you can come to Asia again soon!
