Getting ready to do window replacement and refinish cablin walls (throughout boat). Have seen where members have talked about it but never mentioned easiest way to get rotten teak ply away from outer skin.
So far sharp chisel and heavy hammer seem to be the forerunner.
Any suggestions???

Re: cabin wall removal
Wonder if anyone has done it or just covered it all up which is something I'm thinking as I'm falling behind on other projects.

Re: cabin wall removal
Hi,I replaced all the sliding windows on my 36. most had extensive water damage around the window frame. I seperated the rotted ply using a flat bar and some wide blade scrapers. The fiberglass skin is not very thick so I had to be careful not to rip it with too much force. All came out well.

Hi psneeld, I've also done this job. Chisel and hammer is the only way to go!
