Wavy rub rail

Post by Robb »

The hull is looking good after buffing and pulling all the old cracked pin striping (new replacement pin striping is on the way).

One of the issues that is kind of bothers me is that the rub rail is pretty wavy when you site down the sheerline. It not just on our boat but another 2001 28TE that I look at that was in perfect shape except the wavy rub rail. Are all Albin 28's that way?

I looked at all the other boats on the hard this weekend in the yard and they were all pretty true. Our is unfortunately in a class by itself. Note that I could not get a good picture of this with my phone camera- it looks considerably worse in real life.

I totally know that this is just vanity- function is still perfect- but you want to be proud every time you walk up to her...

Has anyone replaced there rub rail? If so with what (Taco, Tessilmare?)

As always- many thanks...
