New members in WA
We just acquired a 1996 28TE/370, Stella Maris, that is a bit of a project. Three of us are owners- Rob, Robb and Brandon and the boat is in Tacoma, WA. All three of us have been using the board as a great reference and we look forward to being part of the community.

Thanks for posting our introduction. I can already say that the board members are extremely helpful. Looking forward to making my own positive contributions.

Re: New members in WA
Welcome to the group all three of you. Should be easier having a group to share the work and of course the expenses that come with a project. Is the project primarily a mech. issue or hull or of course both/

Re: New members in WA
Thanks all for the welcome. The project is mostly mechanical- 15 years of riding hard and putting away wet. Just starting to get into it but right now everything is pretty, well, rusty. All the right systems are there but just in varying states of decay. I.e. lots of original hoses that you can crack by hand. Cosmetics are not perfect but it is amazing how a few hour of cleaning can get her to shine again.
Brandon is handling the cosmetic issues and replacement parts, the diesel/mechanical systems issues are mine and Rob is the electrical guy. So far pretty fun working on a project with some of your best friends. It is also a lot more fun knowing that you are picking up only 1/3 of the bill...

Re: New members in WA
Nibbles is moored in Anacortes so maybe we cross paths one day. Hopefullly, we will be able to get a program toghther for next season. Elnjoy the projects. Nice to have the shared expertise. My home is Northern Calif. so my appearance there at least off season is once per month. May stay a bit longer in the summer months. Have been looking a travel alternavtives. Kind of looks like i could fly out Sac. Ca to Bellngham, Wa. for less than the driving costs.
The pictures shows it to be a very nice boat. Elbow grease helps a lot.

Welcome to the group. We will be in the area next May/June, most likely staying at Dash Point SP again.
