Snow? In October?
Are you kidding me? I'm sitting here planning a fall cruise on the Sassafras this weekend. The weather report is 1-3 inches of snow!

Re: Snow? In October?
Well, we got hammered here in northwest Ct. "Only" 11 inches, but many tress still have (had) full leaves and they got hit hard. Many power lines taken out. We lost ppower saturday evening, and just got it back yesterday afternoon at 3. At least we had (city) water.
Spent 3 days "camping" out at night in front of the fireplace. At least we could keep one room at 62 or so.
Thank goodness for the gas grill also.
And the freezer willl keep food frozen for 3 days (blanket on top) so we didn't have to throw out anything.
Still no power at work...so I get to go to the boat and see if the enclosure is still up!!

Wow. The next time I whine about a little snow, remind me how it is for you guys. We had nothing in my area. I took the boat out Sunday for a short cruise.jleonard wrote:Well, we got hammered here in northwest Ct. "Only" 11 inches, but many tress still have (had) full leaves and they got hit hard. Re: Snow? In October?
The snow collapsed my enclosure. I think only the main bow is kinked so hopefully I can get that piece made. Meeting a guy today at the boatyard to discuss that.
Oh yea, still no power at my work and not until sunday they say so a few more days off for me There are many towns around that are still at 100% No electricity. Check out the CL&P outage map

I just hope this doesn't mean I have to work an "extra" week.
Targeting EARLY June.
