4D61 - need thread size
I would like to install a Fumoto, valve/lever operated oil drain plug on my '83 Famiily cruiser. Would like to have it in-hand when I change my oil for winter lay up. The manual for the 4D50/61 lists both 16 and 18mm but I dont know which mine has. Anyone know? Many Thanks, Don

Don't know. But an option is to do what my son often does. Buy both and return the one that doesn't fit.

Hi Kim, Pulled the boat last week. Thread size is 16mm. Amazon was less than Ebay at 26.00 (get the one with the nipple). Looking fwd to less mess. I will Plum it to the bulkhead via copper tubing/hose before I comission in the spring. Will try to take some pix to post. A Happy Holiday and quick winter to all!

I installed the new valve today, just before I tied down the cover for the winter It fit great, with plenty of clearance. I was very impressed with the valves construction and will no longer have to drain the oil into a plastic shoe box and then pump it from there!
