new 36 owner

Post by byoung4653 »

We take possession of a 36 Albin next week and are excited. We have been aboard the past 2 days rubbing and loving the teak, plus discovering what is stored in all the compartments, lockers etc. We will dock on Lake Barkley near the canal to Kentucky Lake and plan to cruise the Tennessee River during October and November.

We have travled extensively in a 42 ft. motor home and now are adding the boat to the travel. next step is to sell the house and cruise land and sea. I look forward to visiting this site and learning much about maintenance etc.

Welcome to AOG & CONGRATS ON THE NEW BOAT. Sounds like you two have had some great motorhome time and a plan to also cruise sounds like the perfect way to go. As a nearly new Alblin owner we look forward to time cruising, although I will be doing the Pac. and Canadian NW waters. The 42' motorhome is a big unit to move around. We have since 1992 stayed with a 36' Diesel Pusher because it let's us go some places you can't in the long units. Great tp have the extra room. Calif. limits you to the 40' unless on the interstate. Enjoy the new boat and post some pictures when you can. AOG has many knowledgeable mariners and is fun as well.
