While having new injectors installed found problems with the turbo charger as follows:
(1) hole and crack in exhaust flange
(2) crack penetrating exhaust housing adjacent to turbine cavity
(3) piece missing from bolt head cast into turbine shaft
Have photos if anyone is interested.

Re: 6LP STE turbo charger
If you have photos you can post, please do. Why the new injectors ? How many hours on your 6Lp?

Apparently I cannot post photos on this board. If you send me your e-mail address I'll send the photos. Mine ... DRYearwood@verizon.net. We were producing a haze from the exhaust and the consensus of Yanmar mechanics and a boat club running the same engines was that injectors needed to be replaced. We have 1600 hours on the engine. I do not believe the haze was caused by the turbo charger.
