Tachometer Yanmar 6 LP STE
My Tachometer is intermittant ..seems to be OK during the first hour or so of operation them fails (goes to 0 )...Is the tachometer sensor on the V drive transmission ? and should replacing it cure my problem ...Thanks

It's likely corrosion or bad connection at the push-on spade connectors on the tach sensor. Remove, clean and reinstall and you should be fine. See this thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2803&hilit=sender
