Previous owner of a 25, looking to return to the 25

Post by Jimc »

I bought a 25 in FL in 1981, brought it to Texas via the ICW. I sailed it until I bought a Pilgrim 40.
Now in would like to get back in a 25. I live in Port Isabel, extreme southern portion of Texas,
and 25' Are not seen down here very often, mine was the only one as far as I know.
If any one knows of one in the gulf coast have them contact me . It was a great boat for this area. Thanks

I really admired those Pilgrim 40s. Only saw one once, 1994, Crisfield, MD. Looked like it had a hull blistering problem. Still, a classy looking boat.

As a former 27 owner & also familiar with the 25, I'm wondering, why the 25 & not the 27? There is sooo much more room in the 27 for only a couple feet more. Draft is about the same.
