I feel your pain!
(We should warn the Southern guys that posts from the Northeastern contingent will undoubtedly increase as we sit in our houses waiting for commissioning day to arrive!)
I'll have to post some shots of my shrink wrapping escapades. A friend of mine and I bought the materials and did it ourselves this year, no more tarps for me...

Sure Mariner...just rub it in.Mariner wrote:I'm farther north than all of you and in no way are we "buttoning up" the boat. Nordvika gets used more in the winter than in the summer, thanks to our having more free time.
This winter is exposing the one downside to having moved up to the Albin; my 21' Walkaround could easily be dropped back in the water to take advantage of the mild start to the winter. (That's just about the ONLY advantage of my 'old' boat!!)

Well last weekend was 70 degrees so I finally took the time to winterize the engine and cover Afterglow. We have had some cold nights but this has been the mildest winter I can remember. It will probably snow in Feb.
I noticed some keel damage and a bent prop. I know when it happened. One "bump" in September. I'll get the keel fixed up and the prop tuned.
I just couldn't see the shrink wrap expense this season. No need for it. I just covered it with the old blue tarp.
