Hello,
Does anyone know the engine's manufacturer on the belt driven generator used by the factory on a 1996 TE? I can't seem to find a name plate or other information on the gen set.

Don't know, but can you post some pictures? There are some folks on here who are pretty good at tracking things like this down.

Not sure which TE you own, but the belt driven EntecWest was often the genset installed in the 28 and in many earlier 31's. I have one in my '02 28TE. Here's a link http://entecwest.com/index.htm They were set in a 3 piece stainless soundproof enclosure. If this is not the unit in your boat go to their "About" page and they have links to many more popular marine diesel generators.
