Bronze scuppers
Hi All,
I have designed bronze scuppers for my Albin 36 and they are ready to be manufactured. I need to decide whether or not to make a pattern. If enough people wanted them then I would do this and I would supply the bronze scuppers at cost price to AOG. I'm not interested in making money just helping out. They will cost $152.00 each.
I can email you a copy of the plans if you would like to see them.
Kind regards, Sebastian

I assume they will be cast and machined?
Silicon Bronze? Manganese bronze?

Could you give me the length and width of the portion that has to go thru the hull?
That should tell me if they will be the same as what I have.
Thanks.

Re: Bronze scuppers
I need new scuppers on my 40 trawler too. I believe they might be the correct size as I think my boat is from the same yard as brother Leonard's. My boat is a 1988. I HAVE 4 SCUPPERS ALL IN BAD SHAPE.. MADE OF PLASTIC. keep me in mind when you get the dimentions. Thanks Jay on Aquarius

Re: Bronze scuppers
Hi, the dimensions are, thru hull 70mm (2.75 inches), Height of tube outside diametre 1.25 inches.
The length can be as long as you want as we can cut it down to size. Hope this helps and let me know what you require. Sebastian

Re: Bronze scuppers
Hi, I do need to know if anyone is interseted as it means the difference between having my scuppers made up as bespoke or making the pattern. Please let me know as I have to press ahead. Many thanks, Sebastian

Re: Bronze scuppers
Sebastian,
I am NOT going to buy any. Mine are in decent shape. They look like the PO had worked on them or had someone do it.

Even though no one ended up taking up your offer I thought it was really nice of you to make it. Hope the fabrication works out well and I'm looking forward to seeing the final product!

Re: Bronze scuppers
Mudskipper, how did you make out with your scuppers? Mine are in bad shape too. I could also use another further forward, as alot of my deck water seems to settle there, a foot or two forward of the forward scupper. Maybe it's the weight of all my chain in the bow or needing some ballast aft. I suppose a little drilling, cutting and fiberglassing could take care of it. It would be more learning on the job for me, but boating is a lifelong learning process.
