Are you going to anchor or grab a town mooring (New London)?
Several from our marina go every year. Usually they grab a mooring for a couple of nights.
Some stay at Crockers (New London) and watch from there.

For something different stop at "Nyman's" (was Harings Marine/Ford's Lobsters) on the Mystic River in Noank and get a $14 lobster roll for lunch. Hang on one of his moorings for a while and enjoy.

I'm not going...I'll be at Block for a week starting saturday.

We went Saturday late afternoon and stayed for the fireworks Saturday night. Great fair/carnival, excellent beer (Sam Summer on tap  ) and awesome fireworks display!
