I had the stuffing box removed to have threaded bolts replaced. I now have a leak that comes from under the flange that attaches it to the wooden box. I took out the stuffing box and there is no casket or anything between the stuffing box and the fiberglass tube that it sits in. Is ther anything missing? I think maybe - if so where to I get one? Thanks
No responses but I did get it back together - Drop in water next week or so - hopefully got everything sealed. Great reading all the forums.

Re: rudder stuffing box
Do you have any pictures of what you took apart? My rudder stuffing box is leaking and I had a go at disassembly yesterday and failed.
