My wife would LOVE those helm chairs. Any idea who makes them? Any shots of the interior?
The whole thing looks fantastic and very yachty!

Re: Albin 28 flush deck--here are the possibillities!
Hi-- Thanks
I had them done custom
All I did so far inthe interior is remove the 3 front cushions (that rais up and hook to the ceiling) and cover the screw holes with strips of varnished teak that matches the otehr wood work
My next project is to do synthetic teak on the floor of the cabin and under the table, as well as the head floor.
I am also contemplating having a strip of varnished teak running up the gunnel to the pulpet on both sides-- but not sure yet
Thanks again

Re: Albin 28 flush deck--here are the possibillities!
Well again, very nice!
I see you're from somewhere in New York. Did you have those seats done locally? Can you share the name of whoever did them? And I'm assuming you had the cockpit sole done custom as well, I may have to consider that if I don't have any luck selling the boat this spring (to buy a bigger Albin!)

Ah...Yes, I remember you now. How's the piling bumping going
Fellow AOG member mhanna and myself are in your area all the time. He spotted your boat Saturday. We looked for you Sunday afternoon when we came back in the river but nobody was home. That's when I took the picture. Is Brown's River her new home?

Re: Albin 28 flush deck--here are the possibillities!
No, It wil be in Oakdale. My first day out with the boat was monday...not too much wind so docking was a "breeze". Can you tell me the dtails of the hot water heater? does the boat need to be running to use it? Is it strictly storing heat from the engine or is there a heating coil in it? Hopefully I will see you guys on the water..We spend MANY days at Sailors Haven and head over to Watch Hill once and a while.

Re: Albin 28 flush deck--here are the possibillities!
The fresh water coolant from the engine flows through the water heater and heats the water heater water when the engine is running at operating temperature - a basic heat exchanger setup. When on shore power there is a breaker from the water heater which powers a heating element.

Re: Albin 28 flush deck--here are the possibillities!
You should have a breaker in your AC panel labeled "Hot Water". The heaters normally installed have both engine bypass heating and 120v.

Gee, and all along I thought the heaters well insulated & only ran on a/c . No wonder the water stays hot for long periods of time. Now, if I only had asked Rob, lol
