I was having difficulty finding a Yanmar Tach. The local Yanmar dealer told me that the wait is 4-6 weeks. This is due to the issues in Japan. However, he did point me in the direction of Torresen marine. They had the tach in stock at a reasonable price.
It works for me.

What about the Aetna you had? Is it available?

Re: Yanmar Tach
Strange as it may seem, the Aetna tach is working fine now. I cleaned up the battery terminals and made sure the nuts on the posts on the tach were secure. Got me. At 3600 I am doing close to 25 knts.
On another note, what is the purpose of the 3" plate, recessed into the bulkhead on the steps going down into the cabin? It reminds me of a one-way damper plate.

Re: Yanmar Tach
The Aetna Tach is available and I should have the new one by Friday or Monday.
