Hydraulic fluid replacement-Help!

Post by AlMar »

I've had to empty my H-fluid. First of all because I was removing some lines, but when I saw the color, it was pretty dirty. Now, How do I refill it? I have three lines going to the upper station, and a canister with pump below decks in the stern. If I simply fill the canister, it doesn't look like there could possibly be enough to feed back to both steering stations. tks

Hi AlMar,

I have a pdf file from sea star I can send you, send me your email via personal message. Otherwise you can go to seastarsteering.com and poke around in there. Look for hydraulic steering systems. You'll find everything you need.

Oh, I assume you have seastar.

Cheers!
