Raw Water Sea Strainer Basket

Post by RicM »

I recently replaced the bowl in my raw water sea strainer and in the process noticed that the perforated SS basket inside has some corrosion holes in the bottom. I'd like to replace it. Does anyone know where I can find this part? The basket is 3" in diameter and 9 3/4" high (not including the handle).

Hey Ric, I know my raw water strainers are all Perko units, not sure about yours. Here is a link to C G Edwards in Boston / online and physical store front in South Boston. I always use them for Perko parts from A - Z. The link will bring you to the parts list for the strainers and they are described by pipe inlet size. I'd give them a call to be sure. Good luck.

There will likely be a few on hand at Coecles Harbor Marina in late July, you just have to be berry berry quiet...

Or wait until the pot luck is in full swing and fein illness. My Seastrainer is not a Groco, it was something else, M&H maybe? What brand is yours Rob?

Just downloaded Bucks PDF catalog to my Droid. Looks like they have a selection of basket strainers and parts. Kevin's link certainly looks promising.
