Did you look at the Albin 32+2? Huge amount of headroom in that boat. Separate shower. 115gal freshwater capacity. All around a nice cruising boat for the length of time you are talking about.
I have a friend who bought a Mainship Pilot 30 new a few years ago. No comparison to the Albin 32+2. The Albin 32+2 is a far nicer boat.

Russ - Keep the Albin 28 and come to Florida. You will find that high and dry storage is OK down here with a 28. And if in a slip, just make sure your lines (I use 13, good luck, huh?) are set up well and neighboring boats have been set well. You can get lots of advice on hurricane preparation and sleep well.Russell wrote:Bob, I would appreciate your opinion on a question about about Florida boating. In a year or so we may be spending winters near Jupiter and I am wondering about taking my 28TE down there or selling it here and getting a different boat down there. I like the Albin but wonder about keeping it in a slip during hurricane season when I will not be around. A boat in dry slip storage might be a better option. What do you do when a hurricane is heading your way? Thanks.
