Wannabe Albin Owner
Hi There, My name is John and when I retire (4 years) I think I want an Albin to cruise in. I've been sailing for 30 years and volunteer on a 100' 109 year old tug. I'll be trolling the boards and asking questions. Smooth Sailing.

Re: Wannabe Albin Owner
Welcome to the group. I support the idea of the Albin. I have a 28TE. Best boat I have ever owned. I have had sailboats and 2 Grady Whites, one a 20' and the other a 23'. The Albin 28 does about 22 mph or so compared to much faster in the GW but my fuel consumption is terrific at only 4.5 gph. Just big enough for a couple of nights of cruising but not too big for day boating. I have found the Yanmar diesel to be very reliable.
Good luck.
Captain Jack
Good luck.

Is that tug the old steam tug Baltimore?

Re: Wannabe Albin Owner
I'm in Philadelphia. The Tug I volunteer on is Jupiter. Several years ago we brought Jupiter down to Baltimore for Tug Baltimore's 100th birthday. Sadly to say she had just been condemned by the Coasties.
