Converting to Hydraulic Steering

I need to convert the existing cable steering system on a 1988 Albin 27 to a hydraulic system. Does anyone have information about whether hydraulic steering was ever available on these boats and if so, what was the recommended model number and/or displacement of the steering ram.

Any information available would be appreciated.
