if you do fill the tank to the tippy top, the level in the lines may be above the top of the tank. i noticed fuel leaking out of the seal around the sender assembly on top of the tank in my albin 28. i had changed the sender earlier in the year. the screws in the back are a pain to install and properly tighten...
anyway, i just took it out and burned 10 gallons or so.. then worked on the screws. i replaced them with allen headed 10-32x3/8 screws.
even if you don't notice a leak after tipping off, if you have bad seal, it may leak as trim(pitch attitude) changes underway with a full tank.
